Join local historian and train enthusiast Jim Bennett for his presentation, “The Rise and Fall of The PA Railroad” at Columbia Crossing River Trails Center on Thursday evening April 16, 2026. The PA Railroad fueled industry and contributed to the growth and development of York and Lancaster Counties. Learn about the Pennsylvania Railroad’s history. This presentation will highlight The PA Railroad’s start and its rise, as it became the standard for America’s railroads, and finally its eventual demise.
Jim has given train talks for various groups in the area, and he resides in Lancaster County.
