The week of Oct 1 to 7 shows the county status in the Pennsylvania DCNR report published Oct 1, 2026. That is the latest report available. DCNR publishes each Thursday, so the next one is due Oct 8.
Every later week is an estimate, not a forecast from DCNR. Each county has an estimated 13-day peak window. The windows start from DCNR's typical timing for south central and southeastern Pennsylvania (Oct 20 to 31), Explore Fall's 2026 county timing as reported by FOX 29 (late October for Dauphin and Schuylkill, Nov 1 to 9 for Lancaster and its southern and eastern neighbors), and last year's reports, when Lancaster was at peak in the Oct 23 report. Counties that had already started turning on Oct 1 are placed a few days ahead of those that had not.
Maryland and Delaware counties are estimates in every week, including the first. Weather can move a peak by a week or more, and a windstorm can end it early. Use the season timing slider to see what an earlier or later year would look like.
