Rincon Latino Restaurant

Last week, I had the privilege of meeting Delvin Garcia, owner of Rincon Latino Restaurant, and trying some of their incredible food. His passion for sharing Latin American culture through food, tradition, and community is evident in every aspect of the restaurant, and it’s a great addition to Lancaster City’s food scene.

I asked Delvin a few questions about his inspiration for the restaurant and the special he created for Lancaster Restaurant Week. Here are his answers:

Restaurant Week Special

Question: I saw that your restaurant week special will be the Sabor del Caribe Experience. Can you tell me what you like about this dish?

Answer: The Sabor del Caribe Experience is special to us because it’s more than just a dish; it’s a full expression of what we do at Rincon Latino Restaurant Cafe. As a small Latino-owned restaurant, our focus is on bold flavor, authenticity, and creating an experience that feels both exciting and comforting. This dish brings together vibrant Caribbean flavors, savory, slightly sweet, and perfectly seasoned, in a way that gives guests a true taste of our culture in every bite. It’s the kind of meal that transports you and keeps you coming back.

Chef’s Pick

Question: Could you tell me one other favorite item on the menu? I’m looking for a “Chef’s Pick” to tell people about. Tell me your favorite and why it’s your favorite.

Answer: My personal favorite is our white rice and beans with steak, fried plantains, and a fresh side salad. It’s a standout because it represents the heart of Latino cooking: simple ingredients done exceptionally well. The steak is flavorful and satisfying, the rice and beans are rich and comforting, and the sweet fried plantains add that perfect balance. It’s a dish that feels like home yet delivers a bold, memorable flavor our guests really connect with.

About

Question: Is there anything else our readers should know about Ricon and/or Restaurant Week?

Answer: For Restaurant Week, we want people to discover something special. Rincon Latino Restaurant Cafe may be a small spot, but we take pride in delivering big flavor, warm hospitality, and an experience that feels personal. Whether it’s someone’s first visit or they’ve been with us from the start, we want every guest to leave feeling like they’ve found a hidden gem in Lancaster. We truly appreciate the opportunity and look forward to welcoming new faces during Restaurant Week!
