A full day of Scottish heritage, sport, and music on the grounds of the Octorara Covenanter Presbyterian Church in Quarryville — the oldest Covenanter church in North America.

The Highland Games run all day, with caber, weight-over-bar, weight-for-distance, sheaf, stone, and hammer, plus the festival’s own Braveheart Sword Throw. Solo piping competitions cover grades 1 through 5 and are sanctioned through the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association.

Elsewhere on the grounds you’ll find Celtic bands and solo musicians on multiple stages, sheep and duck herding demonstrations, the traditional Address to a Haggis, clan and society tents, and vendors selling Celtic crafts and goods. Across the Pond joins the lineup for 2026, with Charlie Zahm and Tad Marks returning.

Held each year on the first Saturday after Labor Day. Free on-site parking, including accessible spaces for vehicles with designated plates. Advance tickets are discounted; admission at the gate is $22 per adult.
